Our commitment to the Swiss Medical Oath

Denis Faoro - May 2, 2025

Since the opening of the practice, we have been officially committed to the Swiss Medical Oath - an ethical obligation that forms the foundation of our medical practice. All our doctors take this oath and undertake to carry out their work in accordance with the highest moral and professional standards.

The Swiss Medical Oath is more than a formal declaration - it is a promise to our patients. It ensures that we fulfill our medical responsibility with integrity, respect and care.

Our principles according to the medical oath:

  • Responsibility & conscience - We always act to the best of our knowledge and conscience and take responsibility for our actions.

  • Patient well-being first - We do everything we can to prevent avoidable harm and prioritize the well-being of our patients.

  • Respect & self-determination - We respect the rights of our patients, respect their needs and support them in their decisions.

  • Equal treatment & confidentiality - We treat all people regardless of their origin or status and maintain medical confidentiality.

  • Honest communication - We speak openly and clearly with our patients to enable them to make informed decisions.

  • Medicine with a sense of proportion - We only recommend sensible measures and use the available resources responsibly and fairly.

  • Collegiality & knowledge sharing - We treat our colleagues with respect and share our knowledge for the benefit of all.

By recognizing the Swiss Medical Oath, we reaffirm our commitment to ethical, transparent and patient-centred medicine. At the Seeblick medical practice, you can rest assured that you will be treated with respect, care and the highest level of professional competence.
