About me

Welcome to the Seeblick medical practice! My name is Denis Faoro and, together with my dedicated team, I am delighted that you are interested in our practice.

Before opening our practice, I worked as deputy head physician at Wetzikon Hospital, where I specialized in the treatment of endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian findings, uterine anomalies, incontinence and pelvic floor prolapse.

Although I specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques, the care and support of women during pregnancy and childbirth is particularly close to my heart. Thanks to my many years of experience, I strive to offer safe obstetric care that always takes the patient's wishes into account.

It gives me great pleasure to run the Seeblick medical practice in Meilen together with Ms. Beck and to offer our patients excellent medical care.

Career

I completed my medical studies at the University of Zurich from 2005 to 2011 and graduated with a dissertation under Prof. Dr. med. Grotzer at the Children's Hospital Zurich in the field of neuro-oncology. I then began my medical career as a junior doctor in surgery at the Triemli City Hospital in Zurich and the Cantonal Hospital of St. Gallen before switching to the specialty of gynaecology and obstetrics.

After working as a junior doctor at the women's clinics of the Aarau Cantonal Hospital and the GZO Hospital Wetzikon, I was promoted to senior physician at the Aarau Cantonal Hospital in 2019. This was followed by further senior physician positions at Inselspital Bern and Stadtspital Triemli. At the end of 2022, I returned to the Women's Clinic at GZO Hospital Wetzikon as deputy head physician.

Parallel to my clinical work, I specialized in minimally invasive gynaecological surgical techniques. In 2018, I received the certificate as a "Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon" as well as the specialist certification for gynaecology and obstetrics. This was followed in 2022 by the specialist title for surgical gynecology and obstetrics. Since 2020, I have also been involved in the preparation of specialist examination questions and have been Chief Mentor for GESEA courses at sitem-insel Bern since 2022.

Alongside my medical career, I completed an Executive MBA in Medical Management at the PHW Bern in 2022. I dedicated my master's thesis to the process optimization of outpatient operations. In the same year, I founded med-i-co medical insights consulting AG and the GESEA Swiss association. In 2023, I deepened my expertise by participating in the European Endometriosis Masterclass and also obtained a certificate of competence in pregnancy ultrasound.

With the opening of the Seeblick medical practice in Meilen, I am using my many years of experience to offer my patients modern, empathetic and individually tailored care.
